Turnpike Commission to Offer Summer Employment Opportunities, Says Perzel
The Pennsylvania Turnpike Commission is now accepting applications for toll, maintenance and clerical positions through the 2010 Summer Turnpike Program, Rep. John Perzel (R- Philadelphia) said today.
Interested applicants may now obtain applications from Perzel’s office or online at JohnPerzel.com The deadline to submit applications to Perzel’s office is Friday, March 12. Applicants should submit their applications to Perzel’s office and not to the Turnpike Commission directly, as this will only delay processing of the application.
The program is limited to 16 weeks per employee and runs between May 1 and Sept. 30. Applicants must have graduated from high school or be attending college. Toll collectors must be available to work any of the three shifts over a 24-hour period, including Saturday, Sunday and holidays.
For more information on summer employment with the Turnpike Commission, contact either of Perzel’s district offices at 7518 Frankford Avenue, Philadelphia or 8140 Verree Road, Philadelphia or visit Perzel’s Web site at JohnPerzel.com and click on “Turnpike Commission Summer Employment.”
